The human spine is a complex structure of bones supported by muscles, nerves, ligaments, and tendons. The segments of our spine are cushioned with cartilage-like pads called discs. Injuries or dysfunctions with any of these components can lead to back pain.
Back pain can come from a traumatic injury or develop into a chronic condition over time, lasting for months or even years. Chronic back pain can cause long-term restrictions in your overall mobility and quality of life.
Several injuries commonly associated with back pain include:
Discomfort in the upper and mid back pain is commonly caused by overuse, muscle strain, injury, poor posture, or herniated discs. One of the most common culprits of upper and mid back pain is a musculoskeletal condition called Upper Cross Syndrome.
Problems in the lower back can be caused by a variety of injuries and imbalances in the complex structure of the spine. Many people experience a low back injury from improper lifting techniques or after sitting with an excessive arch in the low back. Nerve entrapment and muscular imbalances in the hips can also contribute to low back pain. These issues often develop into painful conditions like sciatica and Lower Cross Syndrome.
Although the causes of back pain may be different depending on location and type of injury, most back injuries share similar symptoms, including:
Pain symptoms are more common the older you get, and your risk of long-term injury is increased by lack of physical activity or by carrying extra weight. Certain repetitive activities may also affect your recovery time, such as lifting, pushing, or sitting for extended periods of time.

I was recommended Airrosti after suffering from a back injury that progressively worsened over the course of 2 months. I tried stretching, going to the chiropractor, taking anti-inflammatory medication, and even just working through the pain, but nothing was working. It became incredibly uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time and even worse to get out of bed in the morning. I decided I’d try anything at this point. The scheduling process was SO easy, and I scheduled an appointment for that same week with Dr. Hoang. She was very kind, made me feel comfortable, asked me detailed questions regarding my pain, and we got right to work. Within the first few minutes of my first visit, I knew that this was the place that was going to fi...+ show morex me. Dr. Hoang explained where the pain was coming from and why, and provided me with exercises to alleviate the pain. I followed every exercise closely and by the following week, my back felt 80% healed. For my second visit, Dr. Hoang worked to alleviate the remaining inflammation of my lower back. I walked out of my second appointment with a full range of motion and have felt incredible ever since. 2 months of pain fixed in two short appointments. Thank you, Airrosti, and thank you, Dr. Hoang!

Dr. McGowan helped me this past summer with an upper back/rear delt muscle strain. I was in a lot of pain a lot of the time. She really helped me not only with treating me for my strain, but also with stretching my chest and better posture. For a while, I was pretty down about my injury, but working with Dr. McGowan and doing the exercises has me now completely healed. I highly recommend Dr. McGowan and Airrosti!!!

I went to see Dr. D'Souza with some serious upper back pain around my shoulder blade that was causing issues in my neck as well. I wasn't sleeping well and was struggling to get through my day. After two visits with Dr. D'Souza and his recovery specialist, along with working on my home exercises, and I'm feeling like a million bucks! Thanks for your care and expertise!

A few days following a car accident, I injured my back while lifting weights. Dr. Kidman took the time to ask me important questions and listen closely to my symptoms. His demeanor was respectful, his treatment was very competent, and he took the time to explain everything he was doing and why it was important. I am confident that the care I received at his office helped me a lot in my rehabilitation journey. I would recommend him to anybody and can't speak highly enough of his excellent care.

I just completed four weeks of magical therapy for neck and back pain and I'm now 99% pain-free. During my sessions, I was able to have rich open dialogue regarding the pathology of my pain and had exercises that I can continue post-discharge from the program. I now experience deeper sleep and am pain-free. I highly recommend it.

I have an old back injury that flares up on me now and again out of nowhere, which usually puts me out of commission for about a week or more. Usually, I just deal with the pain and do some stretches and yoga poses I find online. Although this usually helps, it doesn’t really solve the problem. I’ve never really gone to anyone to get help but this time it was really bad. When I got to the office, I was only in the waiting room for a few minutes. Once I was one-on-one with the doctor, we went over the issue I was having and what causes it to flare up. He quickly came up with a plan for me and we got right to it. The plan included some muscle and tissue work and a list of exercises I could do to get more relief once I got home. The doc...+ show moretor was easy to talk to, a super nice guy, and very knowledgeable in his profession. I felt like I was having a conversation with a friend. He made me feel comfortable and didn’t push me too hard or rush me during the visit. He also followed up with me after the visit and went over any concerns I might have had. Second visit, he did some more muscle and tissue work and gave me more exercises to do, which he loaded up on my Airrosti app that I had downloaded during the first visit. The app was also very convenient and very detailed. When selecting the exercises, there was a demonstration for every exercise and a timer. I was very impressed with this company and especially the doctor. I would recommend this place to anyone, and have recommended this place to many of my friends.

Some backstory about me: I was essentially able to do nothing without pain. I have back and knee issues and both were exacerbating each other. I came to Airrosti with the intent to treat my lower back, which has several desiccated discs and due to my knee making me unable to walk or stand much, I was in constant pain. My first visit was lovely. Dr. Robinson is a wonderful human being and truly deserves so much credit for her amazing communication, clear action plans and magic hands. I left my first visit feeling relief and knew I could trust Dr. Robinson with my care. I thoroughly enjoyed the pace at which she had me working things. She explained that the muscles in my lower back needed to be broken down before building them back up, whi...+ show morech makes total sense when you think about it. There are no words to explain how effective this treatment plan was or how eternally grateful I am for Dr. Robinson's attention to my other issues, which she noted and worked around the entire time. I have other issues I need to address, so I will be returning as soon as possible! I recommend this style of therapy for anyone thinking they'll never find relief from their pain again. I felt that way for so long, but not anymore. Thank you so much, Dr. Robinson. You are amazing!

I have tried two other chiropractors in the last 4 months, and at least 20 visits. Dr. Bodziony has done a miracle in just a few visits. I have no more pain in my back, neck, or shoulders. I can tie my shoes and get up off the floor without grabbing on to anything. He's absolutely the best!
