Your neck is made up of many components, such as ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Because the neck has an extensive range of motion, it is susceptible to many injuries and painful conditions. In addition, the neck’s ability to function properly is directly tied to many other muscle groups, like the shoulder, back, and chest.
Additionally, if neck pain is left untreated, it can become chronic. Chronic neck pain can present itself as pain, stiffness, and soreness in the neck, perhaps with decreased mobility, that lasts more than several weeks.
One of the most common causes of neck pain is injury to the soft tissues, including the neck muscles, tendons, and ligaments within these structures. Individuals who spend most of their day sitting at work, or doing sedentary activities, have a high-risk factor for developing this condition. The risk is increased especially high for those who sit in poor posture, with the head in a flexed forward position.
In addition to muscle strains and sprains, several other common neck pain causes, such as herniated discs, Osteoarthritis (developing from the wear and tear of cartilage and bones), as well as rheumatoid arthritis. In some cases, this condition may also be caused by an injury to the cervical spine, cervical disc degeneration disease, or other injuries that put pressure on the nerve roots.
Symptoms may include:
Recurring neck pain can not only affect other parts of your body, but other aspects of your life. It can influence your sleeping habits, your ability to work, and even your mental wellbeing. People with severe chronic pain are more likely to have other areas of their life affected, such as social activities, and may spend excessive amounts of money seeking various treatments.
Traditional neck pain treatment may include over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), massages, or some form of physical therapy. A physical therapist might use several methods to treat neck pain such as heat, ice, or braces.
More severe cases may require steroid injections. If worse comes to worst, surgery may be recommended by your doctor to correct severe neck pain or injuries, especially those that may be spine related.

Dr. Garza really helped with some neck/upper back pain and tension. My migraines have been lessened, and I can move my head and neck way more now too. I like that the treatment includes exercises that you can do as for as long as you want, so the maintenance is more sustainable long-term. He's very professional and his office is nice and comfortable. He's also very prompt. There was never more than a one or two-minute wait.

I have been having a lot of pain in my neck down through my shoulders and in my hips. I work with a couple of ladies that went to Dr. Olds and they both had wonderful experiences. I of course put off going until I could hardly turn my neck. I made an appointment and on that first visit Dr. Olds explained everything and what he would be doing. He listened and took thorough notes and after that first visit, I could tell this was something that was going to work. It did hurt just like he said it would but it was one of those good hurts. Dr. Olds' bedside manner is awesome and his conversation took your mind off of some of the pain. He would discuss everything that was going on and explained it perfectly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Old...+ show mores if you are having pain. They work on so many areas and really know their stuff. His assistant, Lynda, was awesome as well and explained the stretching and exercises to keep you feeling great. Thank you so very much, Dr. Olds. I feel better than I have in quite a while.

First, let me start by saying Dr. Hicks is simply AMAZING! This review is long overdue. I woke up with a crick in my neck on a Saturday. Sunday it just wouldn't go away. Sunday night I could not move and had a spasm in the side. I was not able to sleep. Monday morning I was at Urgent Care. The pain was excruciating, to say the least. Urgent Care released me with some pain meds and suggested I see a Chiropractor. I then remembered that I was given Dr. Hicks' name from a friend. So I called and to my fortune, she had a spot open that Monday afternoon. She is very personable and made me feel welcomed from the start. She was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with me as she was stretching me out. Her technique is to work on t...+ show morehe soft tissue and heal the source of the pain. She does not do traditional adjustments. I was so swollen so the process was a little uncomfortable. But by the time it was over I had immediate relief. I was given some tools to use at home. By my 2nd visit, she released me from care. I am so thankful for Dr. Hicks. If you have any pain, I would highly recommend that you go see her. She is a real gem here in Nassau Bay!

I came in with very extreme uncomfortable strain on my neck and shoulder. It was like this for over a year, I tried one place and it felt like I was wasting my time. I was told about Arrosti but I was not in a rush to waste more money on chiropractors…. I’m glad I finally decided to come to Arrosti and give it a try because from my first appointment, I have had so much relief from my neck I couldn’t believe it! I’m stubborn as they come but man I’m glad I came. My advice is don’t let one place ruin it for doctors that can actually help. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Dr.Hurt was who was caring for me and she did beyond great for me! I can sleep easy now after a few years of uncomfortableness!

I came to Airrosti per another friend's recommendation for ongoing neck pain. They got me back in shape within the first visit! I truly thought the pain was going to last forever until my appointment. I love their approach to care - the physical therapy component has helped so much for ongoing prevention. Thanks, Airrosti!

Sometime around 2016, I went to Dr. Payne regarding some significant pain in my right neck/shoulder which was limiting my mobility. The tissue in my neck/shoulder was extremely tight after 5 visits of having Dr. Payne press her thumbs into my neck/shoulder tissue, I had ZERO pain and full mobility for as long as I did the exercises I was given for self care. To this day, I have not had any issues.
