what our patients have to say

Frozen shoulder update–it’s been one year since I’ve had frozen shoulder. I tried 6 weeks of physical therapy, one session of acupuncture, and 6 months of weekly deep tissue massage with Brian Davis, but stopped when I went on vacation this summer. Unfortunately, the pain started to come back, so I decided to visit Airrosti in Sugar Land. Several of my friends had actually encouraged me to see them for treatment options earlier when I was first diagnosed, but Airrosti didn’t take my insurance (one of the few their office doesn’t take). However, I was encouraged to hear that Airrosti takes most insurances now. Today, I had my third and final visit with Airrosti Rehab Center. The doctor and staff were able to challenge and “teach” me to use my shoulder again. They gave me several useful at-home exercise tips and stretches to do daily. This was very helpful, as it had been almost a year that I hadn’t used much of my shoulder, out of the fear of pain. I guess I had grown accustomed to doi+ show moreng daily life/chores, without the use of my shoulder. The weekly massages and Airrosti helped me tremendously!!! I am almost back to my normal range of motion, and the pain has subsided. I can’t believe it’s been a year. I’m so happy my shoulder is almost back to normal!

Active recovery/rehab is done during each visit, immediately following the highly targeted manual therapy designed to restore function to your body and correct injuries to the soft tissue. Active recovery refers to a customized program of stretches and exercises designed to target the specific area of your injury. These exercises help speed recovery and, when done consistently at home (self-care instructions will be provided), help prevent future injuries and further enhance flexibility and range-of-motion.
