Became an Airrosti Provider:
Parker College of Chiropractic
Angelo State University
Spending time with my husband and dogs, cooking, yoga, reading, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.
I was an intern with the Olympic Team in Colombia South America while I was in Chiropractic School and treated all of their athletes. This is how I met my husband, a Colombian professional mountain biker and 2016 Olympic hopeful for Rio this summer!
Three years ago at my home, I tripped and fell resulting in a totally dislocated my right shoulder, rotator cuff tears, and a broken shoulder. My injuries required me to have surgery to repair all the damage. The Orthopedic Doctor warned that I may not have the full use of my shoulder again because of the extensive damage. Once the surgery was complete, I started the process of going to physical therapy (PT) for approximately 2 months. Unfortunately, as I continued to go through PT, the range of motion with my shoulder was very limited and I couldn't lift my arm above my shoulder. My Physical Therapist recommended that I go visit the Airrosti Provider located in Buda, Texas. Once I started going through the Airrosti therapy session, I was quite surprised and pleased with the progress I was making with my range of motion. After about the 5th therapy session, I was amazed at the full range of motion that I had. In fact, after the surgical repair and Arrosti sessions, I pleased to say that my right shoulder is much stronger than my dominant left should. If you have a joint injury and you have not had success in resolving your issue going through physical therapy sessions, I highly recommend you visiting an Airrosti provider.
I saw Dr. Wirtz for help in figuring out the source of my frequent migraines after seeing a neurologist who had also recommended eliminating caffeine from my diet and decreasing my rescue medication, thinking these were contributing to a rebound effect. This approach, along with a preventive medication helped, but I still experienced extreme muscle tension in my neck and shoulders. I felt immediate relief during the first treatment but was afraid it would not last. Dr. Wirtz gave me a few simple techniques I could do at home that did not require too much time - which really helped to ensure I could be successful. (Let's face it - creating new habits is hard) I improved a bit with each visit with Dr. Wirtz and was discharged after just 4 visits. I still have migraines, as this is early in my new treatment program and there may still be hormonal or dietary triggers, but in the short time since working with Dr. Wirtz, the duration has decreased. They don't last 48-72 hours anymore. The most recent one only lasted 12 hours and the shoulder and neck pain is almost gone. If I do start to feel it, I know what to do with my exercises and my trusty lacrosse ball! I would highly recommend that people consider Airrosti, and if you are in the Buda area, go see Dr. Wirtz.
I was in a fare bit of pain from a lifting injury to my inner elbow. Dr. Wirtz explained the reason the pain was radiating to my whole arm, then began to repair my damaged tissue. By the end of my first visit, I was pain free. By the end of the second, I was healed. No further pain exists.
I was referred to Airrosti/Dr. Wirtz by my PCP for treatment of neck pain and shoulder tightness. I have been a dental hygienist and an RN for years and as a result I have developed a lot of upper body issues. Dr. Wirtz is/was excellent, she as well has been in other settings in the medical field so we immediately had some commonality.. Her warmth and interest in improving my health was very noticeable/palpable from our first interaction. She was very clear to me about her and/Airrosti's goals and how they applied to my situation. The most impactful part of my experience with Airrosti/Dr. Wirtz is that you are provided with expected treatment visits, great manual treatment, and homework/homecare exercises as part of the treatment plan. In order to heal you have to take ownership and perform your homecare routine. Through my treatment with Dr. Wirtz I'm very happy to say that, I have regained excellent range of motion and complete reduction of pain in my neck and reduced tightness in my shoulder. With continued daily exercises and the use of my wonderful "orange ball" I will continue to heal. Thank you Dr. Wirtz for your fabulous care.
I was so pleased with my experience with Dr. Wirtz and Airrosti! She took time to explain things to me and never made me feel rushed. I noticed a change in my pain level after the first visit and have been back to my triathlon training feeling great. She equips you with great home exercises and stretches, as well. Her approach (and Airrosti's) is one I will use again if needed as an athlete-it's a unique approach that truly works!
