Where is your practice?
Where are you originally from?
Mexico, we moved to Chicago when I was younger.
How long have you been with Airrosti?
Describe your favorite thing about your job.
I love helping and educating my patients regarding their injuries. My job is not just to fix their pain but also to make sure they have the proper tools to prevent and hopefully avoid similar injuries in the future.
Best food recommendation near your practice’s location.
Viva Vegeria. It’s a little further south of our office but honestly, they have the best vegan food in town!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wasn’t sure at the time, but I knew I wanted to be in healthcare.
What’s one cause you are passionate about?
Health and fitness, and exercise play a very important role in my life. I have participated in several running races including the Chicago half marathon and Ragnar relay here in Texas.
I have also been part of the Crossfit community since 2012. I am currently focusing more on Olympic weightlifting and enjoying this part of my fitness journey.
I also switched to a plant-based diet in 2019 and making this switch was life-changing.
Name three things you love to do in your spare time.
1. Family time.
2. Walk/play with my fur babies.
What’s the oddest injury you’ve had and how did it happen?
Honestly, I can’t remember this one but apparently, I fell off the bed when I was 2-3yrs and broke my shoulder. My mom says I removed the cast myself and up until this day I sometimes get this strange achy pain in my upper arm when it’s really cold out.
If you could be in any movie, what would it be and why?
Geez, I could think of so many! But probably Guardians of the Galaxy. They are such an epic funny crew… but I also want to pet Rocket the raccoon…my son is really going to like this answer. 😊
What’s a hidden skill or a fact that no one would guess about you?
I was a soprano in the HS choir.
What’s your favorite sport?
I watch sports very sporadically, but I do enjoy baseball and soccer.
If you could make a difference in the world, what would you be known for?
Our world needs lots of healing but if I could make a difference, I wish I could get more involved with animal welfare and end animal cruelty.
If you could have any superpower, which would you choose and why?
Teleportation, so I could go home and pet my dogs multiple times per day no matter where I am.
What is your most treasured possession?
A very old letter my grandma sent me after I moved to Chicago.
Do you volunteer with any local community organizations or efforts? If so, which ones and why?
I fostered dogs through the San Antonio Animal services during the last year. Our shelters are so overcrowded and they are always in need of volunteers and fosters! I also got my first foster fail! Planning on fostering more dogs once my puppy is a little older. 😊
Finally, name one thing you couldn’t live without.
