I am 59 years old and had a biking accident about 6 weeks ago. I fell on the concrete and hit hard on my left hip. I tried to roll to my left to get up and couldn't endure the pain. I had to roll to my right and use my bike to pull myself up. I went to my primary care physician and they did the usual steroid shot and asked if I wanted steroid pills as well.
