Meet our Provider of the Month, Jesus Perez, DC. We caught up with him to learn what his favorite vacation has been, how long he’s been with Airrosti, and his favorite TV show!

Where is your practice?

My practice is located in South Austin, in the Onion Creek neighborhood.

Where are you originally from?

I am originally from Cuba. I moved to the US when I was 14 and I’ve been in Austin for 10 years.

How long have you been with Airrosti?

I’ve been with Airrosti for 2 years.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Airrosti?

My favorite thing about Airrosti is that I get to spend a lot of one-on-one time with patients and really get to know them. I like seeing my patients as something other than just an injury.

Favorite recovery tool?

My favorite recovery tool is my legs because my favorite way to recover is to go for a walk. We all need more outside time in our lives so I recommend walking for everyone that can do it and is up for it.

Name three things you love to do in your spare time.

I love to workout (mostly CrossFit or Olympic Weightlifting), play slow-pitch softball, and go on whatever adventure my wife picks for us.

What’s been your favorite trip/vacation, and why?

My favorite vacation was exploring Spain for two weeks with my wife.

Coffee or tea?

Espresso.

Morning person or night owl?

10/10 morning person. I’m in bed by 9:15 and it’s one of the reasons I start seeing patients at 7 am.

What’s your favorite book, movie, or TV show, and why?

My favorite TV show is The Office. I’ve seen the whole thing 23 times and counting. When I went away to college, it was my comfort show, so whenever I feel stressed or have a rough time, it’s always there for me.

What’s the best gift you’ve been given?

My wife gave me health insurance for Christmas when I turned 26. Best gift ever.

If you were an animal, what animal would you be?

A killer whale. They’re so cool.

What’s your favorite fitness activity?

Doing any sort of barbell workout, but mostly any type of squatting.
