Tips For Morning Workouts

Light it up. As soon as your alarm goes off, switch on the lights! By flooding your room with light, your mind and body wakes up and you’re less likely to drift back off into dreamland. You’ll be awake and ready to gear up.
Distance the alarm. If you find yourself reaching over and hitting snooze without even a second thought, try placing your alarm somewhere where you have to actually get out of bed to shut it off. Some alarms even vibrate and roll around the room so that you have to chase them! This way you completely remove the option of rolling over and ignoring the alarm.
Set out clothes. Setting out your workout gear the night before makes getting out the door a little bit easier. Taking away as many speed bumps as possible allows you to get out the door quickly before you have time to change your mind.
Have a buddy. There are a ton of benefits to having a workout buddy, but the fact that you don’t want to let someone down is great motivation to make it to the gym in the morning. Planning to meet someone keeps you both accountable, not to mention it make the workout more fun!
Consistency is key. Even if you really don’t feel like it, stay consistent with your workout routine. Going through the motions of your workout, even if you’re not giving your all, is better than skipping it altogether. Give yourself some credit for showing up!
