The shoulder works with surrounding muscles and tendons to allow for a broad range of motion in the arm. Because of the shoulder’s design, our arms can rotate, push, pull, and lift objects overhead with relative ease. Because we rely on the shoulder for daily movements, wear and tear in the shoulder can often lead to painful shoulder injuries. The most common injury that people are concerned about are tears in the rotator cuff.
Typical causes of shoulder pain are overuse and trauma. These occur frequently during activities like weightlifting, football, or gymnastics. Common conditions include bursitis, rotator cuff tendonitis/tears, and shoulder impingement.
Most causes of shoulder pain fall into these two categories:
Symptoms vary depending on the type of shoulder injury. Shoulder injuries will restrict your mobility and likely cause pain when lifting weights or applying pressure. Typically, an injury to the shoulder will be painful and easily aggravated by movement.
Depending on your condition, you may experience any of the following symptoms:
• Dull, aching pain that worsens with activity
• Stiffness or reduced mobility
• Difficulty sleeping
• An audible clicking sound from the shoulder
• Pain or difficulty raising your arms
• Tenderness to the touch
• Pain that may radiate toward the neck or down the front of the arm
• Swelling, bruising, or redness
Surgery is not always necessary for shoulder pain. In many cases, conservative treatments such as physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications can effectively manage shoulder pain. Airrosti has treated over 200,000 shoulder cases using its unique conservative treatment programs. However, surgery may be recommended for certain conditions that do not respond to conservative treatments or when there is significant damage to the shoulder joint.
Medications commonly used to treat shoulder pain include over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen to reduce inflammation and alleviate discomfort. In some cases, prescription medications such as muscle relaxants or corticosteroid injections may be recommended to manage more severe pain and inflammation.
It’s generally safe to take medications for shoulder pain, but it’s important to use them as directed by your healthcare provider. Over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help reduce inflammation and alleviate discomfort. However, if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications, it’s important to consult with your doctor before starting any new medication regimen. Additionally, prescription medications such as muscle relaxants or corticosteroid injections may be recommended for more severe cases of shoulder pain under the supervision of a healthcare professional. 94% of Airrosti patients report that after treatment they have reduced or eliminated the need for pain medications.
Yes, there are several self-care techniques and exercises that can help relieve shoulder pain. These may include gentle stretching exercises to improve flexibility, strengthening exercises to stabilize the shoulder joint, and applying ice or heat to reduce inflammation and alleviate discomfort. Additionally, maintaining good posture and avoiding activities that exacerbate shoulder pain can also be beneficial. Airrosti providers design customized exercise programs to speed your recovery and keep your pain from returning.
While it’s important to avoid activities that aggravate shoulder pain, completely restricting all activity may not be necessary. In many cases, modifying activities to reduce strain on the shoulder joint and incorporating rest breaks can help alleviate symptoms. However, if shoulder pain persists or worsens with activity, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional for proper evaluation and guidance on activity modification.
Prior to visiting Dr. Laura Bates and Savanah, the pain I was experiencing in my left shoulder, neck, the wrist was unbearable. A co-worker recommended me to Airrosti. After three visits I am currently pain-free. The in-person sessions I had were very helpful and the home therapy is going very well as well. I love the energy, professionalism, and solicitousness exuded by Dr. Bates and Savanah. Thank you!!

Dr. Meriwether saved my shoulder! I had a small tear and did not want surgery, I had tried EVERYTHING and then a massage therapist told me about Airrosti. It was my last hope. Today I have NO pain and am a believer! I also took my daughter to him for knee pain and her knee pain and back pain are gone! This works! No meds, no surgery. It is amazing. I will use Airrosti for the rest of my life.

Due to my schedule and personal risk tolerance, I decided to try Airrosti’s remote-based physical therapy for a very painful shoulder injury. I was a skeptic at first, but after going through the program with Dr. Bodziony, I felt that I had made the perfect decision. Aside from Airrosti providing the necessary tools/rollers I needed for the program, Dr. Bodziony was always available to answer questions via the online app and support me through the process. On our scheduled calls, Dr. Bodziony would listen to all feedback I shared and then adjust my treatment so that it was 100% customized for my goals. She made the at-home exercises fun and thoughtfully explained how each part of the treatment would benefit the process. This is what re...+ show moreally made a difference, the fact that I wasn’t just a number and never felt like I was being rushed during our calls, etc. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bodziony to anyone considering using Airrosti. You won’t regret it!

After a sports injury to my shoulder, my orthopedic doctor advised me that surgery is the best option to stop the injury from reoccurring. Hearing the word "surgery" at such a young age was a more scary experience than the actual injury itself so I chose Airrosti to rehab my shoulder and get back to my training as soon as possible; I was lucky to have Dr. Amy at the Airrosti nearest my home. She and her team were very methodical in their approach to my treatment and made sure I was able to reach my milestones with minimal office visits, online tracking, and home exercises and treatments. Following her direction and having the discipline to put in the work outside her office has gotten me back, although gradually, to the gym less than thr...+ show moreee months after the injury and training for upcoming competitions later this year. When Dr. Amy follows up, I'm happy to report I feel no pain or constraints at all. It was a pleasure to be a patient of hers and while she's a great doctor, I'm confident she's given me the tools to make sure I'm never a patient of hers again and I know she'd rather have it that way as well.

So just some background; I’ve previously torn both shoulders and have had surgery on both, with my most recent surgery being last February on my right shoulder. When I hurt my left shoulder 5 weeks ago, it felt like the exact pain when I had torn it the two times in the past, and with the CrossFit Games coming up I was in pure panic mode. I was taking max doses of ibuprofen, trying to stretch it and take it easy, but nothing was working. As a Hail Mary, I was going to get a cortisol injection to just work as a band-aid to make it through training and the Games, but decided to try Airrosti first because I want to avoid having yet another surgery. Insert Dr. Lakin. After the first visit, I actually had more range of motion than I expecte...+ show mored, which made me hopeful. Fast forward 3 visits later, and today was the first time in 5 weeks I have been able to do a workout without modifying anything and do it pain-free. I still get some pinching and slight pain, but it is nothing compared to where I was when I first started seeing her. I have 2 more visits scheduled and I cannot wait to tell her about my workout today and how I was pain-free the entire time. I also never really believed in taping, but after my visits, I’ve definitely become a believer in it (also pleasantly surprised how sticky and long it lasted). Dr. Lakin and Airrosti legitimately saved me in allowing me to still participate with my team at the CrossFit Games. 5 weeks ago I wasn’t sure if I would be able to compete. I even told my teammates that I was 90% sure I was out and that they might want to start training with our alternate. It made me super excited to hear Airrosti was going to be at the Games (especially since they’re from Texas and we’re the only Texas team there whoop whoop). I can’t wait to get more treatment that I’m sure I’ll use at the Games from your team, and truly owe my success and ability to compete because of Dr. Lakin and Airrosti. Thank you again for helping coordinate my visit and treatment, Naomi - I couldn’t have done it without you too!!

I had a nagging shoulder/neck injury and finally sought treatment from Kurt Edeker and his team at Airrosti Brodie South. I was so impressed with how smooth the reservations system was and the treatment I got from Dr. Edeker was top-notch. My pain was significantly diminished after my first visit. Now, I've seen him twice and my body is functioning completely differently. I feel great and more able to engage and stabilize my shoulder than I have been able to in a long time. Without his treatment, I would not be able to recover as well or as fast. I'm so excited I went!

Sam worked on 2 separate areas that I had definitely waited way too long to get treatment. When I came in, I was barely able to walk, due to plantar fasciitis, and he alleviated the pain to the point that I could walk and function within 5 visits. The exercises he sent with me have helped continue the healing process while allowing me to walk as much as I want to. Then he went to work on my significant shoulder-neck pain. My shoulder-neck pain that I’ve had for many many years has been greatly reduced and I can function & work out. And I now have mobility back in my neck and shoulder. He also gave me simple, but effective exercises to strengthen that area once he freed up the tight muscles in my neck, shoulder, and arm. I also really a...+ show moreppreciated how each visit Sam showed me what was impinged and how he was going to get to that spot to work one. I feel so much better, no more chronic pain. Thank you so much Dr. Sam!

I am 64 and had been to two different orthopedic doctors who told me the only way to relieve my severe shoulder pain would be by having shoulder replacement surgery. I went to Dr. Dodd to see if my pain could be caused more by soft tissue issues than by structural (bone) issues. She has worked on the soft tissue around my shoulder twice and I am not experiencing the pain in my shoulder any longer. It has been a great relief, and will certainly keep me off the operating table for a while!

After multiple orthopedic surgeon visits, getting shots in my shoulder and frustrating traditional therapy, my next step was surgery. I decided to give it one more shot with Airrosti. Dr. McCreadie was able to diagnose and treat me faster than I had imagined since my shoulder issues had been present for years. It reached a point I couldn't wash my hair without pain, or sleep without pain for that matter. Their thing is getting you healed fast with extremely targeted exercises that will take minutes not hours from your day, hence being realistic to accomplish. I am EXTREMELY happy with the doctor, the results I had, the manner in which I was treated, and I would highly recommend Airrosti, Dr. McCreadie, and his team any day and will go fo...+ show morer any issue concerning muscles and/or bones in my body. It is baffling to me to imagine how many people could have avoided surgery had they known or tried Airrosti... THANK YOU, Josh!

For years I have had chronic shoulder pain from a water tubing accident. I have tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture which were not successful in resolving my injury. But after being treated by Dr. Browning, I finally feel relief. He is very competent and thorough in his treatment. Thank you Dr. Browning for treating my injury and CRS, Abby, for showing me the proper exercises. At last, I have a treatment plan that really works!

To say that I am more than satisfied with the services from Dr. Vick is an understatement. I came in with issues I had been dealing with for quite some time. Especially my shoulder pain, which I had already visited other physical therapy elsewhere, but the pain continued. Dr. Vick was able to get me back to yoga and my normal day-to-day activities. She’s very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to your concerns. There is no doubt that I will be using Airrosti in the future.

I signed up with Dr. Ellspermann using Airrosti Remote Recovery. It couldn’t have gone better. I live in Victoria, Texas where there is no Airrosti office. I was told about the remote recovery program through my daughter who works for Airrosti. Dr. Ellsperman couldn’t have been more polite and professional as he asked me questions about my injury and then prescribed exercises for me to do. I had a pain in my upper arm and shoulder that I’m happy to say I no longer have thanks to the exercises and guidance from Dr. E. I had two virtual meetings with Dr. Ellsperman and I continued to perform the exercises while filling out a quick and easy survey each day. I’m now pain-free! Thank you, Airrosti!

I was having pain in my right shoulder. I couldn't lie on that side (and I sleep on that side so I had interrupted sleep), I had trouble with rotation and lifting things. I live in the middle of nowhere so I have to take a day off to go to Airrosti. But I was able to have an Airrosti Remote Recovery visit and Dr. Tom was able to help me. I am pain-free and am able to sleep and move my shoulder! Thank you, thank you, thank you Airrosti and Dr. Tom!

I have had the opportunity to be Dr. Wall's patient for several years now and it has been great! No matter what kind of injury I have, she knows what to do to get it feeling better, anything from a hurt shoulder to a hurt back. I have been to several clinics and by far Airrosti is the best when it comes to rehab and understanding the injury. I will continue to use Dr. Wall for many years and I will always remember an injury will get better with good care. Thanks
by Brett Powell
Amazing care and guidance from Dr. Natalie Bodziony, who provided explanations that I could understand about what was going on, and who taught me how to address my shoulder injury. Tremendous results, with benefits that began immediately and continued until I feel that I am well able to maintain my health, with what I've learned. The carefully tailored combination of exercises, from stretching to strength, really works.

I was close to giving up after previously receiving shoulder pain treatment. I heard about Airrosti through my network, and at the time, they offered a complimentary telehealth consultation. I met with Dr. Tom and he explained that this would take time, but he would be there to adjust training for my specific needs. At first, we would meet weekly to check up on my progress until I started showing significant improvement, which was then cut down to bi-weekly. A few months later, my shoulder pain was reduced significantly, and I can get back to climbing trees.

While training for my first highest peak, I started having issues with my left shoulder. The pain was concerning as I would need to carry a backpack up the mountain and due to the pain I was not able to bare weight. Dr. Young’s knowledge and care allowed me the opportunity to heal And be pain free in time for my hike. I was able to Summit and have the tools necessary to recover as well. Thank you again!

I was having pain in my shoulder, and it was hard to lift my left arm up over my head. I really liked the Video Doctor's appointments, and the ease of using the app, with the videos of each exercise that I need to do. I still have a little trouble with my shoulder, but it's getting better little by little with the exercises. Dr. Bates was great on the video appointments, and with the exercises that she prescribed. I would recommend this type of treatment, especially right now with the social distancing, it was a great way to get treatment.

I have been dealing with shoulder and chest pain for the past 10 years because of old sport-related injuries and surgeries. I have been able to any exercise that puts stress on the pectoral muscle (planks, push-up, bench press, and mountain climbers) for over 2 years. I have received therapy at major hospitals and rehab facilities in Houston and Atlanta. My strength would increase and just when I thought I was ready to go full throttle; I would tweak it and the rehab process would start again. Finding Airrosti and Dr. Kayla Gonzalez have been a life-changer. She is cheerful, listens to your complaints/concerns, and works diligently until she finds the cause of the injury. It is obvious that she loves her job. After 3 visits in weeks, I f...+ show moreeel great. The rehabilitation is excellent and the portal that is used is the best I have seen. Dr. Kayla, you are the best! I just wish I would have come across you 2 years earlier.

I have always heard great things about Airrosti. I recently injured my shoulder and had the chance to find out for myself! The tele visit was the perfect option for me. I was able to visit with Dr. Bodziony and she did a wonderful job of diagnosing the injury and providing me with the perfect rehab program for my shoulder. I would highly recommend Airrosti!

After a month (or two) of living with pain that limited my daily activities, I made the call to schedule an appointment. My shoulder was in pain constantly, with sharp pain whenever I moved it. This was limiting my exercise, altering my sleep positioning, slowing my wardrobe changes, and softening the bear hugs I shared with my kids. From the first moments I met Dr. Vick, she demonstrated professionalism and expertise that immediately put me at ease. I quickly realized that she was both genuinely compassionate and very knowledgeable. She invited me to explain my pain and REALLY listened and processed my report. Throughout the first and during each subsequent treatment, she conveyed in detail AND in lay terms my personalized plan of care ...+ show moreand treatment rationale. She earned and accepted my trust in her as a caring clinician, and delivered on it. I felt markedly better after our first visit and was probably functioning 80-90% better after the second visit. I saw continuous and substantial improvement with every visit. I am getting back to my usual routines; with minimal discomfort. My only wish is that I had not put it off - am regaining my strength from 1+ months of deconditioning. In addition to physical improvements and care, Dr. Vick taught me about improving my work environment (work from home; work station ergonomics), gave me access to home exercises via the Airrosti patient portal, and recommended an ongoing care routine to avoid further injury. I am so grateful to her for her patient-centered care. I can tell it is just her process, but it should be noted that Dr. Vick is the type of clinician we should all aspire to BE and to have. After all, wellness and health are priceless. Dr. Vick gave some of that back to me and more. My heartfelt thanks, Joy Cornthwaite

I was having pain and limited range of motion in my shoulder and thought Airrosti might be able to help. I saw a huge improvement with just the first visit. I got my whole range of motion back and that ache wasn’t there with movement. As long as I did my exercises it stayed away and got better. I like how they taught me how the muscles and nerves worked and I could picture their path as they worked on the problem areas. I feel like I not only got better but learned more about my body and preventing an injury (or at least getting better from them quicker) next time.

So far I have seen Dr.Olds twice an I have to say I’m extremely impressed. I’ve been having terrible shoulder and elbow pain for well over a year and I’m already feeling much better. I’ve seen other doctors with no success. I’m impressed by not only his talent but by his bedside manner. I come from a clinical background and like his clinical approach. His assistant is equally amazing and friendly. Dr. Olds actually texted me the day after my first appointment to check on me. I thank him for that. I’m very pleased.

I had ongoing shoulder pain from a torn bicipital tendon that would regularly flair up. After 2 sessions with Dr. Froberg the pain subsided which allowed me to return to my regular activities. Unfortunately, I felt so good, I forgot that I was injured, lifted something heavy, and seriously re-injured myself. Dr. Froberg did his absolute best to help me, but unfortunately it seems as though surgery may be the best option. I was impressed with his honesty, his openness about future treatment options, offered to continue to help with the injury, and referred me to a physician to review more invasive treatment. Bottom line, a pleasure to work with, delivered real results, and was honest with other solutions that may deliver longer term resul...+ show morets. I highly recommend him.

I was in TERRIBLE pain with my shoulder. I thought I had slept on it wrong, but I needed help. I was able to get the relief I needed, as well as learn the tools to practice to prevent the same problem in the future. I highly recommend Airrosti. I liked the idea of a short turn around in time to get me back to my active lifestyle. I will definitely return to Dr. Bodziony should I need help in the future.

I had been struggling with debilitating tendinitis Which also had affected my shoulders for a year now. I tried everything from massage, acupuncture and every “pain relief” cream on the market. I saw the sign “We Fix Pain Fast”. I remember laughing to myself and saying we’ll see. After the very first visit the relief was 90%! I couldn’t believe how incredible I felt. I went for two additional visits and every single visit there was improvement. I lifted weights for the first time in a year with ZERO PAIN!!! Dr K and his staff have been phenomenal. Completely professional, kind and courteous. The facility is always exceptionally clean. The post treatment exercises are a must and helped provide a rapid and thorough recovery. I ...+ show morecan’t recommend Airrosti and Dr Kuykendall enough. I’ve told friends, family and clients about my incredible experience w Dr K. I urge anyone that is doubtful to go at it with a positive attitude and see the treatments through. Do the exercises! I hoe that everyone has a life changing experience like I’ve had! John

Brent helped me heal a hip & shoulder injury quickly & effectively. I really appreciate how much he focused on educating me on the issues & providing tools that empowered me to address the root cause of the problems. Thank you Brent & Airrosti for allowing me to get back to peak physical performance!

I was having some intermittent R upper trapezius pain for months and it started to affect my day to day activities. I went to see Dr. Savoy twice in a months time. He was able to locate and fix the problem areas and gave me some great recommendations for easy exercises to continue at home. His assistant was very sweet and thorough as well. I had a great patient experience and highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr Bates was amazing! Great personality and helped reduce my neck and shoulder pain tremendously. Wish I’d known about this type of physical therapy sooner.

I came to Airrosti with shoulder injury that was holding me back from my rowing practices for the US National Team. I am so grateful to have found Tony because he immediately knew how to handle it and came up with a great approach. After 8 years on the US National Rowing Team I have seen a lot of different sports medicine professionals and I can easily say Tony is one of the best! He was able to get my shoulder healthy and mobile, allowing me to train as hard as I need to without missing practices. His skill, knowledge, and energy made going to my Airrosti appoints such a positive experience. Thanks, Tony!

I just want to thank Dr Irani for the wonderful work she did on my shoulder. I was considering surgery and a friend informed me of Airrosti. The pain level has gone from a 10 to a 2 just in a matter of weeks. The special care she and her team of recovery Specialists gave me is incredible. I am so grateful to everyone I will miss seeing everyone but I am not missing the pain in my shoulder. Thankful so much everyone. I am so having a wonderful New Year.

I was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue Nov 2018. I had to have surgery on my neck to remove 37 lymph nodes, and then 2 months of chemo/radiation treatment. Afterwards I was unable to lift my right arm above my shoulder. I was prescribed physical therapy for my situation. I attended therapy weekly, and was very consistent with doing my home exercises. After about 8 weeks of this, and even though the pain subsided considerably, I was still unable to lift my arm much higher than my shoulder, and throwing or catching a ball. or frisbee, was out of the question. Worried that my PT sessions would be running out, I was referred to Airrosti by a friend, who is a chiropractor. I asked my PT what she thought about Airrosti, and she encouraged m...+ show moree to give it a try. She accessed me prior to my first Airrosti treatment, and then again immediately afterwards. Her and I were amazed by the results after one treatment. My range of motion increased to nearly 90%. I continued both PT, and Airrosti, and now I'm able to gladly say that I have full range of motion, with no pain at all, and as a 60 year old man, am able to play Ultimate Frisbee with my High School swimmers that I coach. I'm able to reach, and throw better that I could prior to my cancer diagnosis. Marcus Johnson & Whitney Holderness are incredible. Highly recommended. They helped me to go beyond what I thought I was capable.

Came in for some nagging shoulder pain I was unable to fix myself. Dr Cheema was extremely attentive and listened to everything I had to say. She developed a treatment plan that day and my visits back were extremely few. I followed her advice and saw results immediately. She took very good care of me. I’ll go back if (when) I get injured again.

Dr. Trimmier & his assistant Juan Briones were great at helping me get rid of the pain to my hip & shoulder. They were very knowledgeable.

I'm so thrilled with the results I've gotten with Dr. Vick and Cera Southerland in just four visits. My wife (also a patient with great success) recommended I go to AIRROSTI to see if they could fix a shoulder problem that had been plaguing me for over a year (left shoulder/rotator). When I went there for my first visit, I mentioned to Dr. Vick that I had issues that really hampered my daily workouts, and I also had a ton of trouble sleeping at night as the shoulder pain seemed to get worse in the evenings. She had me go through several movements and asked me if I had any pain in my bicep (which I hadn't mentioned...); that part blew me away because I HAD bicep pain but was more concerned about the shoulder issue. After the first visit, ...+ show moreI was already noticing improvement, AND I was sleeping much better. After the third visit I was able to re-start my strength training. Between Dr. Vick's work on my shoulder/bicep/left pectoral and Cera's educating me on stretching and how to position myself when performing the many therapy exercises, I'm totally on the mend. Frankly, I'm blown away that after dealing with a shoulder problem for over a year, I now feel like I'll be able to up my strength training, which previous to the treatment, was just going through the motions because of the shoulder pain. At 62, I've got a whole new attitude on working out thanks to Dr. Vick and Cera Southerland. Thanks so much!

I was in a car accident back in March and injured my back and shoulder. Dr Story has done a great job on both my back and shoulder. Dr Story is very thorough about explaining everything he is doing to you. He helped me understand how a pulled shoulder affects your back and other parts of your body. I now have no pain and feel great. Physical Therapist Al Vasquez is great at showing you various exercises that will help you improve quickly. I love the fact that he sent me videos of my exercises so I could do them at home. In the future, if I do experience pain, I am able to do my exercises to work out the issue! Overall, I’m very pleased with the treatment I received!

I've had an injury in my elbow/shoulder for almost two years now. I've seen so many different doctors from DPTs to Chiropractors to Massage Therapists. Nothing was working and the problem was getting worse. It was keeping me from doing movements like toes to bar, pull-ups, rope climbs, etc. because the pain was getting unbearable. It was even keeping me from sleeping at night. Truly so frustrating as an athlete! I go to the same Crossfit gym as one of Airrosti's doctors, Travis Owens, and one day he noticed that my elbow was giving me trouble. He asked me a few questions and immediately felt like he had an answer, which was so exciting because no one could seem to figure it out! I quickly scheduled an appointment with him, and by 3 visit...+ show mores the problem was resolved. I'm completely amazed. Just today I did countless TTB, pull-ups, and rope climbs and didn't even think about my left arm! What a relief after 2 years of pain!! I would HIGHLY recommend Airrosti to anyone struggling with any kind of pain. They find the problem fast and apply simple fixes as well as very doable rehab -- and it works!

For years I had issues with my shoulder and elbow. I could never get to the bottom of what the issues were until I decided to come to Airrosti and see Dr. Vick and her CRS, Cera. After several appointments and by following the rehab, I saw immediate improvement and then now I do not have any of the pain I used to feel on a daily basis. Dr. Vick and Cera are both an absolute pleasure to visit and are always helpful whenever I have questions.

So grateful for Dr. Brown and his staff. I have had chronic tension in my shoulder which caused terrible headaches. My husband kept telling me to go see Dr. Brown because he had experienced much pain relief there. I felt so much hope of getting better after my first visit. Six to eight weeks later I was dismissed and have had hardly any headaches. Dr. Brown listens to his patients and knows exactly how to help. I highly recommend him.

When I walked in the first day I had so much shoulder pain. Dr. Z helped from that first appointment with my range of motion & the pain lessened quickly. He is kind and listened to my concerns. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. T and Amanda took incredible care of a complex shoulder injury I had as a result of a rigorous exercise program. Despite my struggle to identify the source of the pain, Dr. T was able to identify and treat the muscle causing the problem. Amanda's attentive and thorough care through rehabilitative exercises were a huge part of my rapid recovery. I walked into this treatment experience worried I had a major injury that may have required surgery and left after 3 visits feeling amazing! You guys are the best!

I had what felt like a shoulder issue between my shoulder blade and spine, that annoying area. I needed the pain to go away because I was testing for my kettlebell instructor certification. I was able to get an appointment right away. Dr. Niño is delightful, professional, knowledgeable, and best of all a very down-to-earth, and easy-to-talk-to human. Her approach in my treatment got me back in training form in a week, and now I have a new friend. The whole team at Airrosti is the best!

I first came to Cera and Airrosti after a debilitating sports-related shoulder injury that wasn't going away on its own and to which surgery was not an option. Cera carefully put together a treatment plan tailored specifically for me that ultimately led to a full recovery. Her level of care and concern was unparalleled. Her reassurance and compassion gave me hope that I could make a full recovery even when I was initially skeptical. Thanks to Cera and Airrosti I did make a full recovery and am back in the gym and leading an active, pain-free life!
by Michael Griggs
Before Airrosti, push-ups were ridiculously painful. My range of motion was limited, lifting heavy objects was difficult, and I was not ready to consider surgery. After 3 visits, I was discharged pain-free! So thankful to have found a treatment that works FAST!!

Christopher and Dr. Millan are truly wonderful at what they do, but they are even better people. I had been suffering from a rather severe shoulder pain after pushing through P90X2 for weeks. I am amazed to say that I have not stopped my Ultimate Frisbee or P90X, and solved my shoulder issues through the treatment from Airrosti. I give Christopher and Dr. Millan my highest recommendation.

I had persistent shoulder pain for several years. After only a couple of sessions, my shoulder is feeling great and strong again. The relief was quick and the service is top notch. The staff is very friendly and caring and the results are immediately noticeable.

I visited Dr. Barnes after experiencing some damage to my shoulder. Uncertain with my shoulder's condition and functionality, Dr. Barnes walked me through my shoulder's anatomy and it's interaction with the surrounding muscles and joints. He was very respectful, conversational, and professional with his assessment of my injury, and offered honest suggestions to better improve my outcome. I'd highly recommend Dr. Barnes to anyone who's on the fence about visiting Airrosti.

I had a debilitating pain in my neck and shoulders. I was in pain 24/7. My wife found Dr. Bodziony's practice and I went, thinking I'd try anything at this point. After my very first visit, I knew I was in the right place receiving the best treatment. After about three to four weeks of two visit per week, I was a changed person. Dr. Bodziony truly changed my quality of life! I'm STILL pain-free.

Discovered Airrosti after going to my Dr. for a shoulder issue, Dr said: "oh it's just arthritis" ( I'm 35 not saying it can't happen), sent me on my way with anti-inflammatories and called it a day. After being unsatisfied with what my doctor had to say and the prescription wasn't helping, my wife had heard of Airrosti and called to make me an appointment. I knew with the first visit this is where I needed to be. They take the time to figure out exactly what's wrong with you, and then there's the team who work together to eliminate your pain. If you're not seeing any relief within three or four visits, they don't exactly want you to come back because what they specialize in might not be what you need, they'd rather you not waste your mo...+ show moreney. After four times I am now 90% pain-free in my shoulder thanks to Airrosti. It never hurts to try, so if you have pain give them a call, best decision you will make. Thanks, Ryan and Dr.Andy

I was first introduced to Dr. Sue years ago when he opened his Airrosti practice in the area, and he introduced himself to our gym community. I was skeptical of the patient outcomes that were claimed since both my wife and brother are physical therapists and am familiar with more traditional therapy practices. I run a sports performance and CrossFit Gym. I am very protective of our reputation and who we have our athletes see for issues/injuries. After sending a few of our athletes to see him with incredible success, I tweaked my shoulder and decided to give him a try. I have since seen him three times and each time I have been very impressed with the entire process. Last year I decided to run a marathon. I am not a runner but I have alwa...+ show moreys told myself and others that I would run one, and I'm not getting any younger so it was time to just do it. Three weeks out I tweaked my calf and thought I wouldn't be able to run it as I wasn't able to make it even a mile on my training run. I went to see Dr. Sue hoping to possibly feel well enough to run, but I wasn't expecting to feel well enough to do it. Dr. Sue and his staff helped recover so I could not only run, they helped me with a strategy for pacing to help me meet my goal time without over stressing my calf. I was beyond happy with the outcome. I talk often about my experience with Airrosti and Dr. Sue, and continue to send not only athletes from my gym but my coworkers in the fire service to see him.

My story starts with me believing that I could still throw a fastball at 35 years of age, like I used to at 16...with no warmup...having not thrown SINCE I was 16! One impingement in my right shoulder later, and I found myself at Airrosti under the wonderful care of Dr. Vick and Recovery Specialist Southerland. In 4 visits (with CONSISTENT home PT between) I went from having pain while holding a full mug of coffee, to full mobility with no pain and gaining strength back enough to lift a 20lb weight. I will always recommend both of these professional ladies, as well Airrosti in general. Thank you both for your knowledge and help!! Thank you Airrosti for getting me back to normal!

I was recommended by my GP to see doctor Myles for lingering pain and stiffness in my right shoulder. In just over two weeks of treatment and three sessions under her care I am completely clear of any pain. She explained everything and laid out certain exercises to improve the condition. She is very friendly and easy to talk to during appointments. I had never seen a DC before, and would certainly recommend her and Airrosti.

Airrosti is for anyone, not just athletes! I'm not even sure exactly what happened to my shoulder; there was no specific accident or incident. I just seemed to lose mobility in October and it got worse through the fall. I couldn't even put away dishes in the kitchen cabinets or carry anything that required both hands to lift, because I couldn't let my arm move away from my body. By January, I admitted I couldn't fix it myself. I asked around and friends and my borther all recommended Airrosti, so I made an appointment with my local office. I felt pretty sheepish about going in, because I thought this was a practice for athletes -- after all, that was who all had recommended I go there -- and I've become quite a couch potato the past coup...+ show morele of years. Dr. Peregrine and Ryan Brown (the doctor and the PT in my local office) didn't need to know how I'd lost the use of the arm (good thing, since I'm not at all sure), only what movement I could actually do, relative to the other arm, and where where the pain seemed to center. My treatment was almost finished in three sessions. I suspect the "almost" is because of how long I waited, letting the restriction on my arm really take over. I have one more visit next week. Now I have normal range of motion, can sleep through the night without being awakened by pain, and am getting strength and full use of my arm back. When I first went in, I was feeling old and decrepit (and whiny), but now I'm back to my usual activities. My office visits involved simple assessment of my range of motion, some manipulation of the problem area, and lessons in simple exercises to work on between visits. My "homework" includes simple stretches and strategic use of ice. It's been quite easy and surprisingly effective! It's nice to feel like me again. If I ever have another problem with a joint or muscle, I won't waste time: I'll go straight to Dr. Peregrine and Ryan, and get it sorted out before it can slow me down!

I developed a sharp pain under my right shoulder blade, much like a pinched nerve, and the pain would radiate into my right pectoral area (this pain was not in my spine). I dealt with it for about a month, hard to sit, hard to sleep. I was fine as long as I was up and moving. No pain lifting or moving. I attended a "get to know" event at work with ARROSTI which our Benefits Administrator scheduled. I discussed my pain with the AIRROSTI specialist, Brooke Halboth, Brooke assured me she could help. After our first session, the next morning the pain was gone. Incredible! Brooke was thorough with evaluating my movement and pain before starting the therapy. Brooke and her assistant Shelby worked flawless together. I would Highly recommend AIR...+ show moreROSTI as an alternate treatment. Thank you, Brooke 🙂

Dr. Brittany Latiolais, DC is Fantastic! She has terrific people skills as well as his technical doctor skills. She is patient to hear my list of comments/questions and spends the time & effort to sufficiently answer all of my questions. She gives me a sound plan of action to keep up & to improve my overall health. I visited Airrosti because my sports doctor advised me to take rest, stop pitching, MRI and also I had intense pain on my shoulder and couldn’t able use my right-hand shoulder to steer towards right while driving, but I’m little bit stubborn I was not interested to stop pitching the ball because I’m pitching since I was 11 years. When I met Dr. Brittany Latiolais, DC first thing she asked me what kind of sports do you pl...+ show moreay? I replied I play cricket and I explained about the game and How I pitch. She did the research about my game and started my treatment, for every session I was improving and I never stopped pitching. My friends tell me I pitch faster now. I recommended Dr. Brittany Latiolais, DC and visit this place.

I am a 61-year-old ultramarathon canoe racer who has shoulder issues due to rounding forward. Occasionally this becomes painful and will not allow me to continue with my CrossFit training. I go see Dr. Joe and after 3 visits he has the kinks worked out and back on a therapy program that works to relieve the pain and restore range of motion. I would not have to ever go back to see Dr. Joe if I would just stick to the exercises and programs he prescribes for me. Maybe this time I'll follow his instructions for more than the first month 🙂 I now have my husband, who has many issues, seeing Dr. Joe to help him get back some of his range of motion.

I had been experiencing pain in my left shoulder for about 8 weeks. I was referred to Dr. Kristina Myles from my primary care physician Dr. Hamilton. Airrosti called me within hours of Dr. Hamilton's referral. They were courteous and thorough and scheduled an appointment convenient to my schedule. Airrosti's follow through was second to none. Not only did I receive a courteous phone call reminder, but also a text and email about the upcoming appointment. I had been concerned that surgery would be required and although reluctant, I decided to try this approach first. On the day of the appointment, Dr. Myles went right to work, measuring, determining range of motion and diagnosing the problem. After just a few minutes, Dr. Myles gave me th...+ show moree good news that the pain was the result of tightened muscles and strained tendons, and with some work from her and me, we could solve the issues. Following my first therapy session, the results and progress were immediate and amazing. Later that evening, I received a phone call from Dr. Myles to see how I was doing and if I had any concerns or questions. After a couple of intense therapy sessions and doing my part of simple exercises, I am glad to say I now have full range of motion and am relatively pain free. If you are experiencing pain and possible surgery, I strongly suggest you consider a visit with Dr. Myles first. I am glad I did and will be recommending her to my friends and family as well. MJDII

Thanks to Dr. Corley and Lindsey my shoulder is so much better! I learned so much from them about simple things I can do at home to keep improving. They are so helpful and informative.....and it only took three sessions. Highly recommend.

I have been doing well with my shoulder along with playing better golf. In the last couple of weeks, I was able to lift weights 3 times weekly with minimal to no pain. In a 4 week period, I was able to play golf 23 times. My golf swing has improved to the point, that absolutely no discomfort is in head as I engage my mechanics to the ball. It seems almost unimaginable that I could feel this way from the initial onset of the shoulder strain in December, 2016 Thank you very much for your careful attention to my concern, and of course your expertise to help enable my pain to be a thing of the past.

I have had right shoulder for pain for over a year now and after only one visit to Dr. Kregel at Airrosti, I have almost 100% relief of the pain I have been in for so long. I had never heard of this type of treatment before but I will definitely be recommending them to all of my family, friends and anyone who is having pain. I was afraid I might have needed surgery and I am excited to know that is not necessary.

I injured my shoulder lifting weights at my gym and neglected to take the rest that I needed initially. After several months of inflammation and limited range of motion, I decided to try several physical therapy options. Doctor Matt Yocum at Airrosti was recommended to me by another gym member and I was very impressed with his ability to find the source of pain in my shoulder and help me work my way through it with various stretches and exercises. I work for Southwest Airlines and I was very happy that the majority of this care was covered under my health plan, as it helped me avoid surgery for the foreseeable future. Thank you!

I was in so much pain my shoulder, upper chest and arm! I went in saying I just wanted to feel normal again. Carrying my baby was the biggest test. After my first treatment I felt relief! Total of four visits and I feel amazing! Pain is gone and I am back to my normal!

I was in a fairly serious car accident just before Thanksgiving in 2016. Luckily, I was able to walk away with the only injury being to my shoulder - "shoulder jam". I had been seen many times for help from another Dr. with not much luck. It had been been about 4-5 months with very little progress. Still with a lot of pain and very little movement. Dr. Carpenter saw me and within weeks, he was clearing me. Pain is virtually gone and flexibility is back. I can now go on with my days without any concern. I have all the tools with me to keep my shoulder healthy. I cannot thank Dr. Carpenter and his team enough.
