Upper back pain can have several causes, and therefore, present itself differently case by case. Common causes include:

Last week, my back flared up more aggressively than anything I’d experienced in the two years since my back surgery. I went to the ER for muscle relaxant shots, but that wore off by the next morning. I was convinced I’d have to close my business that coming weekend. After one visit with Dr. Peregrine on Wednesday, the instability and pain in my back subsided significantly. At the time, I was bedridden 22 hours per day and desperate for alternative pathways.
