Active recovery (also known as active rehab) is done during each visit at our Washington pain management clinics, immediately following the targeted manual therapy designed to restore body function and correct soft tissue injuries. Active recovery refers to a customized program of stretches and exercises designed to target the specific area of your injury. These exercises help speed recovery and, when done consistently at home (self-care instructions will be provided), help prevent future injuries and further enhance flexibility and range of motion.
